Overview

How the Trust Works
''The objects of the Company are to advance religion by furthering education in the lands pilgrims visit and to relieve poverty, sickness and distress in these areas''

The principal work of the Trust is to help those in need we encounter on our travels and the trust acts as a conduit through which donations are channelled quickly and effectively to these people and projects. In 2008 the McCabe Educational Trust sent more than £150,000 in direct aid.

We encourage McCabe pilgrims to visit the “living stones” as part of a pilgrimage itinerary through the Holy Land. We know that these visits are a crucial lifeline between those who have and those who have not. It is an exciting part of our work to know that many parishes all over the country are now supporting partner projects in the Holy Land as a direct result of introductions made on McCabe pilgrimages.

Our motto is to “empower people with vision to enable their dreams to become reality”. Examples are Alice and her daughter Samar who run the boys and girls schools in Bethany and Helen and her brother Edmund doing exceptional work in Bethlehem.
